Pilates is a method of exercising developed by Joseph H Pilates in the early 20th century.

It strengthens and tones muscles, improves posture and encourages flexibility. Using breathing techniques and considered controlled movement we can create a healthy balance between mind and body.

The classical exercises of the Pilates method can be adapted for people of all ages and are often used to correct postural problems, ease and prevent back or neck pain, or to aid recovery from injury.

The apparatus can be used to assist in performing many of Joseph Pilates original exercises bringing them to a wider audience and allowing people of any age to benefit from them.
